All around the world, people gather at carnivals to celebrate life. The Caribbean calls it a creative and artistic festival of expression. In parts of Africa, the lyrical rhythms and vibrant street parades are the heart of this celebration. No matter which rich history and culture you follow, Book Euphoria can’t wait for our awesome lineup of authors and fantastic readers to come together during our 2020 weekend event!

We’ll celebrate and share our literary love, while intertwining some Chi-town flavor and Caribbean vibes. The weekend’s theme will include carnival games, prizes, exotic costumes, soul dancing, loads of laughter and heartfelt fun! Time to flaunt your feathers and bring out your bright colors for a spring Carnivale with our own special Book Euphoria twist.

• Time to bring out your African or Caribbean wardrobe to represent the region you wish to embody this weekend (Saturday will be a costume/wardrobe contest)!
