Monique returned from the kitchen after clearing the dishes from their breakfast in bed. Mitch was quiet, almost somber.
She slipped under the covers, wrapping an arm around his waist. “My cooking wasn’t that bad, was it?”
He grinned. “Breakfast was fabulous. Thank you.”
“Then what’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” He pulled her closer and kissed her. “Eager to work our way through the rest of that box.”
“Now that’s a plan I can get behind.” Monique shed the robe, settling between his legs. She ran her tongue over his nipple, loving the way his body tensed in response. Her tongue traced a path down his torso and across his defined abs.
Taking his hardened shaft in her hand, she swirled her tongue around its head.
He moaned, his gaze soft.
She grinned, taking him in her mouth until she could feel his thick length at the back of her throat.
He cursed softly, his strong hands gently gripping her shoulders. He must’ve been using every ounce of restraint he had to refrain from sliding his fingers in her hair, encouraging her to take him deeper.
A smile perched on her lips as her tongue glided along the underside of his shaft. Mitch was a Boy Scout. She loved that about him, but she also loved how out of control he’d been when they’d made love.
He squeezed her shoulders, his teeth sinking into his lower lip. “Mo, do you have any idea what you’re doing to me?”
She swirled her tongue along the ridge underneath the head of his thick shaft and lapped at the pearlescent drops. “Mmm-hmm.” She took him inside her mouth again, savoring his taste.
He moaned as she worked him with her hands and mouth, bringing him to pleasure as he’d done for her the night before.
Monique slipped on her robe again, her hair and skin damp from the shower they’d taken together. Her spine tingled from the delicious ache between her thighs.
She ignored the twinge low in her belly, remembering how enticing he looked with a towel hanging low on his hips as he strode to the kitchen for more coffee.
Her phone rang. It was Ray.
“Hey, big brother. What’s up?” she said in the same gravelly voice she’d used to fake illness in middle school.
“Sorry to wake you, Squirt. You good?”
“I’m fine.”
“Thought I’d stop by to check on you.”
“No!” she said far too loudly, then cleared her throat. Lying to Ray sucked, but full disclosure wasn’t an option right now. She needed to ease Ray into the idea of her and Mitch being together.
“I mean, I’m really tired. I’m going to sleep in a little longer so I’ll feel up to dinner tonight.”
He was silent long enough that she nearly asked if he was still there. “Okay, Squirt. See you tonight.”
She ended the call and dropped the phone on the table beside the bed. Sneaking around with Mitch was fun. Lying to her brother was not.
